Dixon is currently fourth in the IndyCar standing. Juan Pablo Montoya is first, followed by Will Power and Helio Castroneves.

Castroneves was sent airborne during a scary practice crash but was uninjured. He wrote about the experience for SI.com. Fellow driver James Hincliffe was not as fortunate. Hinchcliffe was hospitalized with a thigh injury after crashing during Monday’s practice.

For Chase Selman, the team manager at Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, auto racing has always been “All in the Family.”

His father, Wayne, began his IndyCar career with Al Unser, Jr. at Galles Racing in the 1992 Indianapolis 500. But that’s only the beginning for the 28-year-old Indianapolis resident who will call the shots for driver Townsend Bell in the 99th Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.

Selman’s brother, Cody, is married to Jamie Little — the pit reporter for FOX Sports NASCAR telecasts and who will be calling the action from pit road in FOX’s coverage of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. And Chase Selman is married to Danica Patrick’s sister, Brooke.

When this group gets together on the holidays, it certainly turns a lot of heads in public because this is one of the power families in all of auto racing.

“When you go out with Danica, the luxuries of getting to sit at the chef’s table or the private room is cool because we don’t get those experiences every day,” Selman said. “We get to see the other side and that is neat. But she doesn’t let that go to her head. She is down to earth. She tells it how it is and just like my wife, Brooke, they get that from their mom and dad.”

T.J. and Bev Patrick are Danica’s and Brooke’s parents and Selman’s in-laws. Chase and Brooke Selman are parents to a young daughter named Reese.”We’ve got a 15-month-old daughter and to see Danica with her is awesome as well,” Selman said. “Danica is the aunt that loves to spoil her niece. There is a shopping spree every once in a while and every time her and Brooke go shopping with Reese, they come back with a new wardrobe. She is very giving and has helped Brooke and I out a ton. She wants to see Reese as much as possible.Live Stream Indy 500

“She is kind and gentle and like Jamie, as nice as you can get. She deals with so much stuff in the media and with fans. I don’t know how she does it but she is able to put that aside when it comes to family and is 100-percent committed to her mom, her dad, Brooke and myself. Her and Ricky Stenhouse have been together for a while now.

“They come from a family-centered lifestyle and it’s really good to see. It’s pretty neat to see all that she has accomplished with so many people who want to see her fail that she just overcomes. It’s cool to see all of that and have a front-row seat at all of it.”And then there is the other sister-in-law who is famous in her own right and that is FOX’s Jamie Little.

“It’s cool to have her as a sister-in-law,” Selman said. “Jamie is unbelievable. She is the nicest person you could meet. Everywhere she goes she is noticed but she doesn’t let it go to her head. She is just as nice to a stranger as she is to me or Cody or anyone in the family. They have a 2 1/2-year-old son. It’s pretty neat.”

Selman’s brother Cody and Little were able to find love in the fast lane.

“It was a party thrown by either Jeff Burton or Clint Bowyer and Cody and Jamie got together and hit it off,” Selman said. “At one time, Cody worked for Kyle Busch and before they got engaged, he worked for Dreyer & Reinbold for my dad and myself. He met Jamie out in Charlotte and they hit it off.”

Last November, Chase was watching the end of the NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway when Jeff Gordon confronted Brad Keselowski on pit road after the race. Little was there to report on the tense situation and a brawl broke out with punches coming very close to nailing Little by mistake.

“I saw her there on TV and she wasn’t backing down and she won’t,” Selman said. “She’s tough. She wasn’t going to let anyone else get the story, either. If there was a punch thrown, she might have thrown one back. She is very fit and stands her ground.”

The New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) is the governing body of rugby league in New South Wales
and the Australian Capital Territory and is a member of the Australian Rugby League Commission. It
was formed in Sydney on 8 August 1907[1] and was known as the New South Wales Rugby Football
League (NSWRFL) until 1984. From 1908 to 1994, the NSWRL ran Sydney’s, then New South Wales’, and
eventually Australia’s top-level rugby league club competition from their headquarters (or
“Bunker” as it was nicknamed during the Super League war) on Phillip Street, Sydney. The
organisation is responsible for administering the New South Wales rugby league team.

The New South Wales rugby league team has represented the Australian state of New South Wales in rugby league football since the sport’s beginnings there in 1907. Also known as the Blues due to their sky blue jerseys, the team competes in the annual State of Origin series against neighbouring team, the Queensland rugby league team. This annual event is a series of three games competing for the State of Origin shield. In 2013 & 2014 the Blues were captained by Paul Gallen and coached by Laurie Daley.

Prior to 1980 when the “state-of-origin” selection criteria was introduced, the New South Wales team in addition to playing annually against Queensland, played matches against foreign touring sides and occasionally toured overseas themselves. They have played all their home matches at Stadium Australia, New South Wales’ largest stadium, since it was built in 1999.

State of Origin series is the annual best-of-three Australian rugby league football match series
between two state representative sides, New South Wales “The Blues” and the Queensland “The
Maroons”

The New South Wales Rugby Football League was responsible for the introduction of rugby league
into Australia in 1907. Since that time the NSWRFL has built a rich tradition at all levels of the
game. Great names and great games illuminate the League’s growth since 1907 up to the present day.
The NSWRFL was formed in August 1907, when player discontent with the administration of the New
South Wales Rugby Union, over rejection of compensation payments for injuries and lost wages, led
to a breakaway movement. Key figures in the new movement were James Joseph Giltinan, legendary
cricketer Victor Trumper, Alex Burdon, Peter Moir, Labor politician Henry Hoyle, George Brackenreg
and Jack Feneley. The first rugby league game in New South Wales was played on 17 August 1907, in
which New Zealand defeated New South Wales Rugby League team 12-8.

The NSWRFL premiership was continued on the successful basis of the first competition in 1908. In
1929 Jersey Flegg was appointed to the position of president of the NSWRFL and in 1941 he became
chairman of the Australian Rugby League Board of Control. At the time of his death in 1960, aged
82, he was still serving in these roles.

When NSWRFL president Flegg died in 1960, Bill Buckley replaced him and also became boss of the
Australian Rugby League, a position he remained in from 1960 until his death in 1973. In 1973
Kevin Humphreys was appointed President of New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and Chairman of
Australian Rugby League (ARL). Under him State of Origin was introduced.

In 1983 Humphreys was succeeded in these positions by Ken Arthurson. Under Arthurson the clubs in
the NSWRL expanded outside the borders of the state and even the country until in 1994, after
administering it’s 87th consecutive premiership season, the NSWRL was replaced by the Australian
Rugby League as club football’s peak administrative body.

Notwithstanding the hand over of control of the game at the elite level across Australia to the
Commission, the NSWRL did retain responsibility for both the administration of the New South Wales
rugby league team in State of Origin series, as well as day-to-day management of the state-based
New South Wales Cup second-tier premiership, as well as junior representative competitions and
divisional leagues throughout NSW and the ACT. It does so in conjunction with the NSW Country
Rugby League. In a similar way, the rival Queensland Rugby League retained responsibility for that
state’s Origin team and lower tier competitions.
